Pengevin
My "lighter" game of these two designs. These are excerpts from an adventure-mystery game loosely inspired by Victorian-era detective stories, with a partly dark but also partly comical twist.
As this is a game in which the protagonist is a penguin police detective in a European-inspired city populated by animals (drawing on ideas from my childhood), I envision this work as something that might have been an original Nintendo IP, albeit with a darker tone. Here I showcase some of the game's concept art, worldbuilding, storyline, backstory in the form of interactable notes, and quest design. |

LyrisThese excerpts are from the original drafts of the narrative design document for Lyris. [see motion capture sequence inspired from this game on my Home page].
This ambitious dark fantasy horror project is constantly evolving, but the following excerpts illustrate core elements from the game, which are sure to consistently remain relatively unchanged throughout future iterations of this work. The maps are my own drawings - the concept art images were mainly generated through the app Photoleap. |
